Node One (The Totem)

Physical Haptic Anchor
HARDWARE Waveshare ESP32-S3LVGL 8.4ESP-IDF 5.5.x

What it is

Kailh Choc Navy tactile switches — 45 gf actuation, no silent mushy feedback. Physical Haptic Anchor is a core component of the P31 Labs sovereign cognitive infrastructure stack — built to run offline, deployed to the edge, and designed without dark patterns.

Firmware target: Waveshare ESP32-S3-Touch-LCD-3.5B (N16R8). Build with ESP-IDF 5.5.x. LVGL 8.4 selected over 9.x for 30% lower RAM overhead on the S3. CWP-046 firmware prompt at WCDs/CWP-046_DeepSeek_Prompt.md.

Core features

Kailh Choc Navy tactile switches — 45 gf actuation, no silent mushy feedback

NXP SE050 cryptographic secure element: hardware identity lock, keys never leave silicon

863 Hz Larmor frequency haptic pulse — somatic anchor grounded in physics

LVGL 8.4 touch display with ESP-IDF 5.5.x — custom UI built for one-handed use

Software segregation (The Buffer middleware): firmware never touches cognitive logic

How to use

1Node One is a hardware device — see the firmware repo for build instructions
2Pair with The Buffer over local BLE — Buffer handles all cognitive decision support
3The NXP SE050 auto-provisions identity on first power-on; no configuration required
